Senior Application Systems Analyst - Village of Orland Park

Orland Park is a premier community located 30 miles southwest of Chicago’s Loop with a residential population of nearly 60,000 and is the commercial and retail hub of the Chicago south suburban region. We seek a Senior Applications Systems Analyst to provide technical expertise in the execution of the Village’s strategic technology initiatives. The village’s strategic initiatives include increased automation of village processes and transitioning them to online services, and using technology to facilitate organizational improvement.

The Senior Applications Systems Analyst will provide technical support for a number of village wide enterprise software applications such as Innoprise ERP and Utility Billing; ActiveNet recreation management; Tyler Enterprise Asset Management; as well as current implementations of UltiPro Human Capital Management and Tyler Technologies EnerGov for planning and permiting.

This position is responsible for design, implementation, administration, security, and support for village enterprise software systems, including providing technical support and assistance to end users. Work is distinguished by the ability to perform business analysis in order to identify ways to better use software systems to improve staff efficiency and productivity, develop reports, and expand current software functionality. Also responsible for the security of the village’s enterprise applications, and ensuring only authorized users have the appropriate access. This position will also supervise a part-time employee assigned to web and applications work.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or related field along with four to six

years of related application administration experience. Experience with Microsoft SQL database administration, custom report writing, business analysis, and providing software system support or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required. MCSA: SQL Server certification is preferred. IT project management experience preferred. Skills in the administration and support for enterprise financial, billing, permitting, human capital management software applications; knowledge and skills of software development languages such as HTML, Java, C++, C#; skills developing custom reports using report writing software such as SAP Crystal Reports and Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, and IBM Cognos; skills in troubleshooting and diagnosing complex system issues and recommending resolutions; skills in identifying features, advantages and disadvantages of software applications in order to recommend solutions; knowledge of HIPPA and PCI security requirements and COBIT, ITIL, , NIST and ISO security frameworks.

The Village of Orland Park offers a competitive salary $80,000 - $90,000 depending on qualifications and a comprehensive employee benefits package, which includes the choice of 2 HMO’s, Consumer Driven Health Plan (HDHP/HSA), and a traditional PPO Plan administered through BlueCross and BlueShield of Illinois. The Village also provides a wellness program, dental, vision, life insurance and a flexible spending account program. Network Engineer - Village of Orland Park

We seek an IT Network Engineer to provide technical expertise in the execution of the Village’s strategic technology initiatives. The village’s strategic initiatives include automation of village processes and transitioning them to online services and using information technology to facilitate organizational improvement.

The IT Network Engineer is responsible for design, implementation, administration, security, and support for Microsoft Active Directory, cloud, and Windows virtual server platforms, as well as data network and telecommunications infrastructure. This position is also responsible for information technology security risk assessments, audits, remediation, monitoring, and related information security governance activities. Work is distinguished by the ability to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data residing on or transmitted to/from/through enterprise workstations, servers and other while maintaining compliance with village needs and policies. Work involves researching and making recommendations regarding upgrades, maintenance, and security of the Village of Orland Park’s network and telecommunications systems.

Demonstrates ability to work effectively with employees, managers, vendors; may need to be available to respond to afterhours emergency calls on a rotating basis; performs other duties as required.

We require a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Information Technology or related field and or commensurate experience and or certifications. MCSE, CCNA, CISSP highly preferred. Four to six years of experience in performing LAN/WAN configuration and support, and Microsoft Active

Directory administration; comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP-based LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi networking, Cisco network, firewall, and security hardware and software, Ethernet cabling and maintenance; comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows, SCCM, Office 365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Exchange server administration; considerable knowledge of proxy and firewall concepts; considerable knowledge of PC hardware and OS support; considerable knowledge of Voice Over IP (VOIP) communications and telecommunications systems; comprehensive knowledge of information security infrastructure including VPNs, proxies, 2-factor authentication, mobile device management, firewalls, anti-virus software, anti-malware software, data encryption, and SSL certificates; comprehensive knowledge of web threats including malware, viruses, phishing, and related methods to threaten systems; comprehensive knowledge of DNS, and DHCP; knowledge of HIPPA and PCI security requirements and COBIT, ITIL, NIST and ISO security frameworks.

Information Technology/GIS Technician - Village of Bartlett

DESCRIPTION OF WORK


This hybrid position will spend part of their time performing GIS work using ArcGIS Pro and GPS equipment in the field and part of their time providing support to computer users in all of the Village’s various departments. This position requires an in-depth understanding of PC hardware, peripherals, devices and Microsoft Office applications and the ability to independently setup and configure PC equipment, as well

as identify, research and resolve first-tier technical problems.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Qualifications:


Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: An associate's degree in any information technology field; OR two years of experience providing information technology support services involving hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance; OR GIS work experience with an equivalent combination of experience and training.  Candidates must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing using the English language.  Successful candidates will need to be personable, patient, problem solvers and have the ability to switch between tasks at a moment’s notice.

Information Technology Specialist - City of McHenry

The City of McHenry is seeking a qualified IT Specialist to perform hardware and software support, installation of equipment, deployment of software, routine maintenance updates and upgrades to an assortment of devices within the City and Police Department. The IT Specialist will assist in the maintenance of the LAN and WAN, as well as the cyber security of the City’s network.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and a minimum of two year’s direct work experience preferred; or Associate of Science degree in Information Technology with a minimum of four years direct work experience;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships
  • CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, Office 365, SCCM and Hyper-V
  • Experience Troubleshooting and repairing end user equipment
  • Ability to investigate and research end user questions and problems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Previous work in a municipality or police department preferred.

General work hours are M-F 8:00 am-5:00 pm, ability to work off hours as needed or if scheduled on call

Wages & Benefits:
