The Northbrook Information Services Department is seeking a Support Technician to assist Village staff by providing first level technical support and troubleshooting user problems. This position will be responsible for triaging technical issues and resolving minor problems and escalating complicated issues to the System Technician or System Engineers. The Support Technician will work with desktop and laptop computers, software, tablets, cell phones, printers, copiers and other network attached devices. This is a customer service position in which prompt response to, documentation of and resolution of problems is critical.
Subject to administrative approval of the Secretary of the Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT), serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO); serves as a policy- making official, responsible for information security strategy, policy development, standards, architecture, processes and assessments to ensure information assets and critical processes are adequately protected with acceptable levels of controls, particularly focusing on cyber threat intelligence and incident response within the administration of the Information Security Office. Serves as official agency spokesperson on behalf of the Secretary to all internal and external entities including all client agencies, private and federal officials on IT security issues and policies.
